Snow Policy

Shrewsbury Campus

If Shrewsbury Public Schools close for bad weather or road conditions, SMS will be closed.

If Shrewsbury Public Schools open one hour late, SMS will open one hour later than the child's start time.

If Shrewsbury Public Schools open two hours late, SMS Elementary classes will open two hours late, Full Day Preschool will open two hours late, and Morning Preschool classes will be cancelled.

If Shrewsbury Public Schools close early during the day due to inclement weather, SMS will remain open. However, in the interest of safety, parents may decide to pick up their children due to bad weather conditions.

Montessori Children's House of Auburn (MCHA)

If Auburn Public Schools close for bad weather or road conditions, MCHA will be closed.

If Auburn Public Schools open one hour late, MCHA will open one hour later than the child's start time.

If Auburn Public Schools open two hours late, MCHA Morning Preschool Classes will be cancelled. Full Day Preschool will open two hours late, and Afternoon Threes may be held. Please check the website and/or call the school.

If Auburn Public Schools close early during the day due to inclement weather, MCHA will remain open. However, in the interest of safety, parents may decide to pick up their children due to bad weather conditions.
